Yusei Kikuchi (2-6) was charged with the loss Sunday against the Orioles despite a strong strikeout performance. Over 5.2 innings, he was tagged for five runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks. The left-hander finished with 10 strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
The five total runs were a season high for Kikuchi, though he has now held opponents to three earned runs or fewer in each of his last nine outings. Through 15 starts (82.2 innings), he possesses a 3.05 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and a 78:43 K:BB ratio. His next start is tentatively lined up at home against the Astros.
