Luis L. Ortiz allows six runs, takes eighth loss

Luis L. Ortiz (3-8) took the loss Sunday versus the Mariners after allowing six runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five over six innings. His day was highlighted by a five-run second inning, which included a grand slam allowed to J.P. Crawford.
Fantasy Impact:
Ortiz has now surrendered 10 runs over his last two appearances spanning 10.2 innings, a downturn from a five-start stretch from May 11 to June 4 in which he did not allow more than three runs in any outing. Through 14 starts this season, he holds a 4.64 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and an 81:39 K:BB ratio over 75.2 innings. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Athletics.
