JP Sears allows three homers, records no strikeouts in loss

JP Sears (5-6) took the loss Tuesday versus the Astros, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks over 3.1 innings. He failed to record a strikeout in the outing. Sears yielded two runs in the first inning and later served up three solo home runs, two to Cam Smith and one to Mauricio Dubon.
Fantasy Impact:
The long ball has been a recent issue for Sears, as he has now allowed 12 homers over his last six starts, with four of those outings including multiple home runs. Through 15 starts (76 innings), the southpaw has a 5.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 58:17 K:BB ratio. His next outing is tentatively projected for this weekend at home versus the Guardians.
