In his first start in nearly a month after a pectoral injury, the veteran allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He recorded six strikeouts, with the main damage coming on a three-run homer by Daniel Schneemann in the fourth inning.

Fantasy Impact:

The right-hander threw 83 pitches (56 for strikes) and generated 12 swinging strikes in the outing. Through 11 starts in his first season with the Giants, Verlander is still searching for his first win. His next opportunity is projected to be a home matchup against Miami.
