Patrick Corbin allows four runs, takes sixth loss

Patrick Corbin (4-6) took the loss for the Texas Rangers against the Royals on Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out four. All four runs were scored against him in the third inning, highlighted by a three-run homer from Maikel Garcia.

Wednesday marked the first time in 13 outings this season that Corbin has surrendered more than three earned runs. The veteran southpaw holds a 3.91 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with a 49:23 K:BB ratio across 71.1 innings. His next outing is a road matchup with the Orioles next week.
