Emmet Sheehan strong in return from Tommy John surgery
by Bruno Mulé | Dodgers Correspondent | Thu, Jun 19th 11:18am EDT
Making his first major-league appearance since undergoing Tommy John surgery last May, Emmet Sheehan pitched four innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Wednesday. The right-hander allowed one run on three hits while striking out six and issuing no walks. He generated 10 whiffs and threw 43 of his 65 pitches for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
Sheehan was modestly built up in the minors prior to his activation, tossing a total of 11.1 innings over four rehab appearances and topping out at 3.1 frames in his most recent outing. He will likely need multiple more starts before being ready to handle a full workload. His next start is projected to be on the road against the Rockies.
