Michael Chavis agrees to minor league deal with Reds

Michael Chavis has agreed to a minor league deal, that includes an invitation to spring training, with the Cincinnati Reds. (Kiley McDaniel on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Chavis has not appeared in a major league game since 2023 when he batted .242 in 96 plate appearances with the Nationals. The utilityman can play anywhere but primarily occupies either corner infield position. His best year came in 2019, his rookie season, with the Red Sox when he batted .254 with 18 home runs and 58 RBI. Chavis will fill organizational depth for the Reds and can step up if injury or underperformance occurs.
