Tarik Skubal earns eighth win, strikes out six

Tarik Skubal (8-2) picked up his fourth win in his last five outings Thursday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings in the first game of a doubleheader. The Detroit Tigers left-hander struck out six. He came within one out of recording what would have been his fourth consecutive quality start.
Fantasy Impact:
The reigning Cy Young winner had allowed just one run while striking out 32 over 30.2 innings in his four starts prior to Thursday. Through 15 starts (96 innings) this season, Skubal has a 2.06 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 117 strikeouts. His next start is currently scheduled at home against the A's.
