Chris Sale has been placed on the 15-day IL due to a fractured left ribcage, retroactive to June 19th. (Atlanta Braves on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The Braves have not given a timeline for returning to the mound, but it will most likely be more than 15 days. Didier Funetes made his debut in what was meant to be a spot start Friday, but he may stick in the rotation now with Sale out.
