Keibert Ruiz was taken to the hospital for a CT scan after being struck by a foul ball in the dugout during Monday's game against the San Diego Padres. (masnsports.com)

After being struck on the left side of his head by Josh Bell's foul ball, Ruiz was sent to the hospital for a CT scan to check for a concussion or other head injuries. Should he miss any time, Riley Adams is expected to step in as the starting catcher.
