D-backs left-hander Jalen Beeks (back) is hopeful to return from the 15-day IL when first eligible. (MLB.com)

D-backs skipper Torey Lovullo said Beeks had been experiencing back pain for a couple of days but is hopeful the lefty can return as soon as he's eligible. Beeks posted a 4.39 ERA in 42 outings prior to hitting the shelf.
