The A's placed rookie shortstop Jacob Wilson (forearm) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, paving the way for Dernaiz to see his first big-league action of the season. The 23-year-old hit just .192 with a homer and a stolen base across 48 games with the Athletics in 2024.
