Lawrence Butler went 1-for-4 against the Rangers, belting a solo home run in Monday’s 8-1 loss.

Fantasy Impact: Butler has heated up at the plate picking up hits in four of his last six games. The outfielder has been one of many underperforming options in the Athletics lineup for manager Mark Kotsay early on, batting .180 with two homers, six RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base through 15 games.

Luis Severino allowed four earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings in Monday’s loss to the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact: Severino continues to fight control issues, recording three or more walks in each of his four starts. The veteran right-gander remains difficult for fantasy managers to trust in his current form, posting a 5.59 ERA and 1.71 WHIP with an 0-2 record and 1.50 K/BB ratio through four starts.
