Bryan Reynolds Homers in Pirates' Shutout Victory Over Reds
by Chase Davis | Pirates Correspondent | Fri, Aug 8th 8:59am EDT
Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-4 in the win over the Reds with a home run, one RBI, one run scored, one walk, and one strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
After today’s win, Reynolds is hitting .239 with 11 home runs and 54 RBI across 109 games this season. It's been a down year for the usually consistent veteran outfielder. He's put up at least 24 homers in each of the past four seasons, and likely won't reach 20 this year. His strikeout rate is the highest in basically his entire career, but at 27% it's not horrible. I would expect Reynolds to turn it around and be the player he's always been, but who knows if it will happen in the next two months or next season.
