Duran was struck by a comebacker from Nationals infielder Paul DeJong and initially chased after the ball before pulling up. After being attended to for several minutes, Duran was carted off the field. A prized trade deadline acquisition from the Twins, Duran owns a 1.86 ERA in 53 outings this season and had allowed no runs and just one hit in four appearances since joining the Phillies.
