Eloy Jimenez signs with Blue Jays

Fantasy Impact:
Jimenez had been in the minors with the Rays this year, hitting .278 with a .733 OPS and three homers over 40 games with Triple-A Durham. The Rays released the one-time Silver Slugger (2020) just before the All-Star break. Jimenez will provide organizational depth for the Blue Jays, and it is certainly possible he gets another shot in the bigs when rosters expand in September.
