The Houston Astros placed Luis Garcia on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with right elbow discomfort. (MLB.com)

Garcia exited Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in the second inning after motioning to his surgically repaired elbow following a pitch. This was his second start since returning from Tommy John surgery, and he is now scheduled for an evaluation. It is likely that AJ Blubaugh will take his spot in the rotation. In a corresponding move, Nick Hernandez was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land.
