David Peterson allowed three earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out eight over five innings in Thursday's loss to the Phillies.

After today’s performance, Peterson's season stats include a 3.88 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and a 9-5 record across 28 starts. It's been a solid season for the veteran lefty, but he's starting to fall apart at the end. Since the trade deadline, he's pitched 41.1 innings with a 6.53 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and a still impressive 10.2 K/9. He's got three quality starts in that span and none since August 19. He'll look to get back on track next week against the Padres.
