Hunter Greene tossed a gem, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out nine over nine innings in Thursday's victory against the Cubs.

After today’s win, Greene now boasts a 2.74 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with a 7-4 record across 18 starts this season. This was a nice bounce-back after he gave up five runs and two homers in his last 2.1 innings against the Athletics. While Greene has put up similar surface-level stats to last season, his strikeout and walk rates have taken big leaps forward. He is in line to face the Pirates with his last start of the regular season next week.
