The Boston Red Sox signed Cooper Criswell to a one-year, $800,000 contract on Thursday. Criswell, 29, appeared in seven games for Boston during the 2025 regular season, posting a 3.57 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 17.2 innings. (Robert Murray)

Fantasy Impact:

The right-hander does not have any minor-league options remaining, meaning he will need to secure a spot on the Red Sox's Opening Day roster to avoid losing his 40-man spot. His 2025 season ended in late August due to elbow inflammation. He also registered a 3.70 ERA and 1.35 WHIP at Triple-A Worcester.
