The New York Yankees are reportedly discussing a potential trade for Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. (MLB.com)

The Yankees could sure use some starting pitching help, as the trio of Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, and Clarke Schmidt will all be unavailable to begin the 2026 season. Peralta was excellent in 2025, posting a career-best 2.70 ERA to go alongside a sterling 17-6 record and a 28.2% K% across a career-high 33 starts.
