Devin Sweet inks minor league deal with Red Sox

Devin Sweet has signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox. The righthander has been assigned to Triple-A Worcester but may get an invite to Spring Training. (Chris Cotillo on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Sweet saw brief time in the majors back in 2023 when he pitched in seven games between the Athletics and the Mariners. He pitched for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in the Phillies' organization last season and had a 5.08 ERA in 51.1 innings. Sweet has a career 3.91 ERA in seven minor-league seasons. He does have good stuff as evidenced by his 554 strikeouts in 455.2 innings. Sweet will add some organizational depth in the bullpen.
