Kutter Crawford avoids arbitration to remain with Red Sox

Kutter Crawford avoided arbitration with the Red Sox and will remain in Boston after signing a one-year deal. The contract is reportedly worth $2.75 million. (Chris Cotillo on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Crawford missed all of last season due to knee and wrist surgeries and has not pitched since 2024 when he went 9-16 with a 4.36 ERA in 33 starts with the Red Sox. He allowed a league-high 34 home runs, but limited opponents to 155 hits in 183.2 innings and struck out 175 batters. In four seasons with Boston, Crawford has a 4.56 ERA with a below average walk rate of 7.2% and an above average strikeout rate of of 23.8%. With the addition of Sonny Gray, Crawford will be in competition for a back-end rotation spot during Spring Training.
