Braxton Garrett and the Miami Marlins agreed to a $1.53 million contract and avoided arbitration. (Fish on First on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Garrett missed all of 2025 recovering from a UCL surgery that included an internal brace in December. He started seven games for the Marlins in 2024 and pitched to a 5.35 ERA in 37 innings. His best season was in 2023 when he had a 3.66 ERA and 156 strikeouts in 159.2 innings. It's unclear if Garrett will be ready for the start of training camp. If he is, Garrett should occupy one of the rotation spots for the Marlins.
