Mickey Gasper has been designated for assignment by the Minnesota Twins. The move was made to allow Vidal Brujan, whom the Twins claimed off of waivers, on to the 40-man roster. (Dan Hayes on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Gasper has been in professional baseball since being drafted by the Yankees in the 2018 MLB Draft. He broke into the majors in 2024 with the Red Sox and then played 45 games in Minnesota last season. Gasper has slashed .133/.250/.195 in 133 plate appearances at the big league level, but has fared much better in the minors, slashing .276/.391/.459 in more than 1,800 plate appearances. Teams looking for catching depth could take a look at acquiring Gasper.
