Tom Cosgrove signs minor league deal with Astros

Tom Cosgrove has agreed to a minor league deal with the Houston Astros. The lefthander receives an invitation to Spring Training and will make $900K if he makes it to the majors. (Jon Heyman on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Cosgrove broke onto the scene in 2023 when he pitched to a 1.75 ERA in 51.1 innings with the Padres. However, he was seldom used at the big league level in both 2024 and 2025, tossing just 18.2 combined innings with the Padres and Cubs. Cosgrove will likely open the season with Triple-A Sugar Land.
