Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (oblique) is expected to take live batting practice in the next day or two, according to manager Joe Espada. (Matt Kawahara on Twitter)

Altuve has been on the shelf since May 18 with a Grade 2 left oblique strain and has been hitting, running, and fielding in recent days. The veteran hit .245 with four home runs and one stolen base across 42 games prior to hitting the shelf.
