This news comes as no surprise after Eugenio Suarez signed a one-year deal with the Reds on Sunday. Williamson played solid defense, but struggled at the plate last season. Mariners top prospect Colt Emerson is also expected to compete for playing time all over the infield. Seattle also remains interested in Brendan Donovan.
