Brett Wisely has been designated for assignment by the Tampa Bay Rays. He was acquired by the Rays in a trade with Atlanta last month. (MLB Trade Rumors on X)

Wisely has played parts of three seasons in the majors and has hit .214 with seven home runs and five stolen bases in 168 career big league games. The utilityman will be hoping to find a new home and a team looking for a player who can multiple positions might be willing to take a shot.
