Yimi Garcia (elbow) hopeful to be ready for opening day

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said on Tuesday that Yimi Garcia has been “feeling good and throwing for numerous weeks now.” (Arden Zwelling on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Garcia underwent surgery last September to clean up scar tissue in his right elbow. It’s an encouraging sign that he has been throwing for multiple weeks, and while the Blue Jays plan to take a cautious approach as he builds back up, he could be ready for Opening Day. Garcia finished 2025 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, three saves and 25 strikeouts across 21 innings.
