German Marquez agrees to deal with Padres

German Marquez has agreed to a one-year deal with the San Diego Padres. The deal includes a mutual option to push some of the guarantee into a buyout. (Ken Rosenthal on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The longtime Rockie will look to bounce back after a rough 2025 season where he posted a 6.70 ERA in 126 innings. He'll have a chance to start the season in the rotation, especially given the uncertainty of both Yu Darvish and Griffin Canning.
