Fantasy Impact:
Butler underwent surgery in October to repair a partial tendon tear and debride chronic scar tissue, and also received a PRP injection to address chronic tendinitis in his left patellar tendon. His participation in live batting practice on the first day of full-squad workouts is a positive sign, suggesting he could be available for game action once spring games begin. Butler finished last season with a .234/.306/.404 slash line, hitting 21 home runs and stealing 22 bases. He’ll aim to enter the season healthy and pursue his second consecutive 20-20 campaign.
