Christian Vazquez signs minor-league deal with Astros

Vazquez hit .215/.267/.311 across three seasons with Minnesota. He is currently representing Team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. (Matt Kawahara)
Fantasy Impact:
A minor-league contract with Houston was finalized on Saturday, including a spring training invitation. Vazquez will join Astros camp following the conclusion of the WBC to compete for the backup position behind Yainer Diaz. Cesar Salazar is the only other catcher on the 40-man roster and has gone 2-for-13 this spring.
