Rodon (elbow) underwent surgery last October to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in his left elbow. The rehabilitation process has proceeded without complications. (Erik Boland)

He threw a live batting practice session on Monday, his first time facing hitters since the procedure. Rodon is scheduled to appear in Grapefruit League games before Yankees camp concludes. New York will place him on the 15-day injured list to open the season, with his debut potentially arriving before April ends at the earliest.
