Ohtani is fully expected to open the regular season in the Dodgers' rotation, and he's been keeping his arm sharp while with Team Japan for the WBC — even though he isn't scheduled to pitch in the tournament. He faced 18 hitters Thursday in a four-inning, 59-pitch live batting-practice session, striking out seven. (David Adler)
