Jose Suarez could break camp with Braves

by Bruno Mulé | Braves Correspondent | Fri, Mar 13th 12:37pm EDT

Suarez made seven appearances (one start) for Atlanta in 2025, posting a 1.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB across 19.1 innings, and he's out of minor-league options heading into 2026. That status, combined with his ability to start or relieve, puts him in consideration for the Opening Day roster. (Mark Bowman)

Fantasy Impact:

Atlanta opens the season with 13 games in 13 days and is expected to deploy a six-man rotation during that stretch. The sixth spot is likely to go to Martin Perez, with prospects JR Ritchie and Didier Fuentes also in the mix — but if that pitcher opens the year in the minors, Suarez could stick on the roster instead, with the team re-evaluating his role in early April.
