Jair Camargo reassigned to minor league camp

by David Leisering | Braves Correspondent | Wed, Mar 18th 5:16pm EDT

Catcher Jair Camargo has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Atlanta Braves. (Atlanta Braves on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Camargo went 3-for-16 with a pair of home runs in 11 games for the Braves this spring. He played in the Twins' organization last season and batted .212 with two home runs in 31 games for Triple-A St. Paul. The 26-year-old has played nine seasons in the minors and is a career .245 hitter with 78 home runs. Even with Sean Murphy on the shelf, the Braves are pretty set at catcher so Camargo will provide depth at the position in the minors.
