Porter Hodge (elbow) hopeful to play catch next week

Hodge continues to recover from a right flexor strain, which will force him to begin the season on the injured list. He is expected to begin playing catch in early April and could return to game action later that month. Hodge struggled in 2025, posting a 6.27 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 33 innings after an impressive rookie campaign in 2024, when he recorded a 1.88 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over 43 innings.
