Logan Webb roughed up in Wednesday’s season-opening loss to Yankees

by Chris Schommer | Giants Correspondent | Thu, Mar 26th 9:27am EDT

Logan Webb was hit hard in his first start, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits while also striking out seven and walking one over five innings pitched in the Giants’ 7-0 season-opening loss to the New York Yankees Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Webb was unable to make adjustments over the course of his first outing of the season for first-year manager Tony Vitello, allowing a .529 BABIP in the loss. The veteran right-hander remains a high-level innings-eating option at the top of the San Francisco rotation for fantasy managers, with his next scheduled start on the road against the San Diego Padres.
