Bieber did not throw off a mound during spring training due to right elbow inflammation, but it is an encouraging sign that he is set to do so this week. A potential return in May remains possible, though he is still a ways away as he continues to ramp up and will likely need a minor league rehab assignment before joining the Blue Jays’ rotation.
