Jacob Latz tosses four hitless innings in spot start

Latz lost out to Kumar Rocker for the fifth spot in Texas' rotation this spring but got a spot start Saturday after Jacob deGrom was scratched with neck stiffness. He threw four scoreless, hitless innings on 68 pitches, striking out three and walking one, though he did not factor into the decision in the Rangers' 5-4 win over Philadelphia.
