Jacob deGrom fans seven in delayed season debut
by Bruno Mulé | Rangers Correspondent | Wed, Apr 1st 11:19am EDT
DeGrom's season debut was pushed back due to neck stiffness, and he made his first appearance Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing just three batters to reach base through the first four innings before Pete Alonso led off the fourth with a homer. A defensive miscue by Wyatt Langford in the fifth let two more runs score, and deGrom exited after 79 pitches with the game tied at three.
Fantasy Impact:
He struck out seven across 4.2 innings without issuing a walk and did not factor into the decision in Texas' 8-5 win. DeGrom lines up for his next start at home against Seattle.
