Jimmy Herget earns first save of season Wednesday

Jimmy Herget pitched a perfect bottom of the tenth inning on Wednesday to preserve a 2-1 Rockies' victory in Toronto against the Blue Jays. It was Herget's first save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Incumbent closer Victor Vodnik pitched around a hit in a scoreless eighth inning, so Herget was called upon to shut down the Blue Jays in the tenth. Herget slammed the door on a popout, groundout, and a lineout for his first save since the 2022 season. Vodnik blew his first save opportunity on Sunday, so this may be a situation to watch if you are chasing saves. While there may not be a ton of opportunities in Colorado, Herget has thrown his name into the ring as he has now pitched three scoreless innings in three appearances to begin the season.
