Adrian Houser solid, but Giants' bats vanish in loss
by Chris Schommer | Giants Correspondent | Thu, Apr 2nd 10:10am EDT
Adrian Houser allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walks while striking while striking out four over 5 1/3 innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Houser showed strong command in his first start of the season, throwing 67% of his pitches for strikes in the contest. The veteran right-hander will look to provide first-year manager Tony Vitello with a stable option as part of a revamped rotation as the season gets underway after posting a 1.28 WHIP and 3.31 ERA over 21 starts (8-5, 2.42 K/BB ratio) during the 2025 season.
