Juan Mejia records five-out save on Monday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Tue, Apr 7th 12:57am EDT

Juan Mejia picked up his first save of the season on Monday, recording five outs to help the Rockies to a 9-7 victory over the Astros.

Fantasy Impact:

Mejia did not allow a hit, walked one, and struck out one for his first save of the season. It was his second career save as he earned his other one on August 17, 2025 against the Diamondbacks. Mejia has appeared in four games this season and has a 3.00 ERA with a 3:2 K:BB ratio. He is now the third different pitcher to register a save for the Rockies this season, joining Jimmy Herget and Victor Vodnik. Despite what appears to be an improved Rockies' team, it's best to avoid this situation until someone emerges with the gig.
