Antonio Senzatela earns eight-out save Tuesday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Wed, Apr 8th 9:07am EDT

Antonio Senzatela pitched a perfect final 2.2 innings on Tuesday to earn his first career save in the Rockies' 5-1 win over the Astros. He struck out three.

Fantasy Impact:

Senzatela is working solely out of the Rockies' bullpen for the first time in his career and he has been brilliant in three appearances thus far. Following his first career save on Tuesday, Senzatela has now pitched 7.1 scoreless innings, allowing only two hits with a 9:1 K:BB ratio. The Rockies have five wins this season and four pitchers have now recorded a save, so the closer's job is completely wide open. Senzatela has been the best of the bunch out of the Rockies' bullpen, so he's worth closely monitoring.
