Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle hit his first career home run in an 8-2 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

It was another big day at the plate for the rookie on Sunday as McGonigle went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk, and an additional run scored to help power the Tigers to victory. It's been an impressive start to the season for the 21-year-old consensus No. 2 prospect in baseball as McGonigle is now hitting .322 with a homer, six doubles, a triple, a stolen base, 11 runs scored, eight RBI, and a .920 OPS through 16 games on the season.
