Max Scherzer tosses quality start in no-decision versus D-backs Saturday
by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, Apr 19th 11:32am EDT
Blue Jays right-hander Max Scherzer pitched six innings of two-run ball but took a no-decision in an eventual 6-2 loss to the D-backs on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Coming off one of the worst starts of his Hall of Fame career, in which he yielded eight earned runs in 2 1/3 innings against the Twins, Scherzer was rock-solid in this one. The right-hander yielded two earned runs on five hits and a walk in his six innings of work. He also struck out just one. The right-hander nonetheless has something to build on as he looks to drive his 7.16 ERA down further in his next scheduled start on Friday at home against the Guardians.
