Rhett Lowder deals quality start in winning effort Monday versus Rays
by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Mon, Apr 20th 9:32pm EDT
Reds right-hander Rhett Lowder threw six innings of one-run ball en route to his third win of the season on Monday versus the Rays.
Fantasy Impact:
Lowder scattered five hits and walked two while striking out three as part of his 93 pitches on Monday, 58 of which went for strikes. The 24-year-old doesn't walk many, but has also struck out just 18 hitters through 29 innings on the season, which is why he entered the game sporting a 4.65 SIERA, a figure well north of his pre-game 3.52 ERA. Nonetheless, he will now carry a rock-solid 3.10 ERA into his next scheduled start on Sunday at home against the Tigers.
