Luis Gil allowed zero earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two over 6 1/3 innings in Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox.

Gil has fought command issues early on, allowing three earned runs or more in the of his three starts. The right-hander has battled consistency issues on the mound early in the season for manager Aaron Boone, posting a 4.11 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with a 1-1 record and 1.13 K/BB ratio through three starts.
